Rent the safety kit to tackle the via ferrata to the Christ of Maratea.

In June 2021, the beautiful Via Ferrata to the Christ the Redeemer of Maratea was inaugurated, among the most picturesque via ferratas in Basilicata.

It’s a route of rare beauty that unfolds along the rocky ridge leading to the statue of the Christ of Maratea. As you climb, the panorama opens up to dominate the entire Gulf of Policastro. From the final Tibetan bridges, it feels like walking suspended directly over the boats of the port of Maratea, more than 600 meters below!

At Corso Garibaldi 2, at the Ivy Tour Basilicata office, located at the entrance of Piazza Buraglia in the historic center, you can rent safety kits to tackle the Via Ferrata to the Christ the Redeemer of Maratea or book your guided excursion with an alpine guide. For more information about the excursion with the alpine guide, click here.
